The Endocannabinoid System
The Endocannabinoid ( ECS ) System is found in every mammal , including dogs and cats , and regulates a broad variety of biological functions . The ECS is responsible for maintaining and controlling the body’s balanced regulation of every system in the body ( homeostasis ) The ECS system has 2 receptors – CB1 and CB2 .
CB1 Receptors are found in the Brain, Lungs ,Vascular System , Muscles, and Reproductive organs. CB2 receptors are found in the liver ,colon , spleen, immune system, bones, and pancreas .
While the body produces its own endogenous cannabinoids , many scientists suggest that modern life with its lack of cannabis/hemp in the daily diet of humans and animals has led to an Endocannabioid Deficiency , resulting in a general decline in overall health .
Supplementing human and animal diets with full-spectrum phyto-cannabinoids may be an essential component to maintain overall health .
